First: an ad for a hair-straightener.  Chantal showed me this one, since I don't often look for information about hair appliances on the interwebs. 

This week's the first for a while that the top ten have had more than two plays each.  Although the top 6 this week were all listened to on the one day, when I had boring work to do and I could listen to a bunch of albums straight through.

The photo-painting, Kerze (Candle), is the work of avant-garde German artist Gerhard Richter. The original canvas will be put up for sale at Sotheby's in London next week and is likely to sell for several times its catalogue price of £2.5m.

Weekly, when I write down a list of Leonardo DiCaprio's interests, it generally includes the same items: acting, the environment, supermodels, Martin Scorsese, never quite growing out of a scrunched baby face. Never would I have dreamed "anime" would make the list, particularly over "idiotic facial hair." But apparently it has, with Leo announcing plans to bring the classic '80s manga/anime Akira to the big screen, with himself in the lead as Kaneda and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Tetsuo.
